Divorce and its surrounding activities such as custody, alimony, legal separation, child support, etc., are seldom the reason people are unhappy. Rarely does someone accidentally divorce their perfect partner. People seek divorce because it is what they truly (sometimes desperately) need.
Yet, frequently the divorce itself becomes an entity that seems to have a life of its own, knocking out financial resources, emotionally crippling otherwise healthy people, and devastating cherished relationships. This DOES NOT have to be the case.
Smart, strong, loving people deserve a divorce they can feel good about – for years to come. You can, and should, LOVE YOUR DIVORCE, it is the first step to the rest of your life. In essence, your divorce is where you give birth to your new self. Make that birthing process as wonderful as possible, so that when the new you arrives there will already be some essential elements in place to welcome you, namely – friends, family, some money if possible, and a strong sense of self-esteem.
This blog is my first step towards helping you SEE that you can, and should, LOVE YOUR DIVORCE!
